Carla built her practice specializing in shamanic healing for animals, and her courses are geared toward animal lovers who want to use shamanism to help animals. However, the skills you will develop apply to helping people, including helping yourself. You will undergo initiatory experiences that will change your whole way of walking in the world. Carla Meeske is a pioneer in shamanic work for animals
Working with her Spirit Teachers, Carla developed a simple method for communicating with animals using the shamanic journey. She published this method in 2003 in The Foundation for Shamanic Studies journal Shamanism, and she created a workshops DVD teaching the method, Speak to My Heart: Carla Person’s Step-by-Step Method for Shamanic Animal Communication.
Carla’s classes are dynamic and transformational. She combines her innovation in shamanic work with clear instruction to bring you a remarkable experience, no matter if you are on the phone, in a workshop, or using recorded media. Carla’s 10 years of professional educational experience give her classes structure and clarity. You will succeed in your quest to experience the wonders of Shamanism.

For the most part I teach shamanism through two excellent schools: The Animal Spirit Network and Orlando’s Center for Animal Therapies.
Through my own school, Spiritlearning, I offer private lessons. Some people want to learn on their own time, at their own pace, with compete personal attention. I am here for you! I also offer a Spiral Retreat in Bumblebee AZ each April. These events are MAGICAL!
Working with these school’s programs, (or me directly) you can learn to journey and communicate with animals, learn how to help animals using core shamanic healing techniques, and explore the vast richness of non-ordinary reality though ceremony and mystical journeys.
Begin Here: Most people begin the basics – learning to journey into Non-ordinary reality and build a strong connection with your spirit allies. For the very basics, start with the video: Speak to My Heart, my DVD that teaches the first steps of journeying and animal communication. (This DVD covers about 30% of what is on the on-demand course). This video is a great way to get yourself ready for a live class or an entry level teleclass.
The next step is to take a class that teaches you how to journey into the htree worlds, and connect deeply with an Spirit Ally. I offer an on-demand video training Introduction to Shamanic Journeying: the 3 Worlds through ASN, and live classes in Orlando with CAT.
Practice: You can develop your skills with our Monthly Shamanic Journey Telecircle that meets every second Monday. (see its page to the right →)
You can also join the Animal Spirit Cafe with ASN and learn to more about shamanism, and practice a simple journey each month.
Heal Yourself: You will be the first recipient of the spirit’s healing power, because in shamanic work we first heal ourselves in order to heal others. Whether in workshops, private trainings ceremonies, or healing sessions just for you, the spirits will help you resolve your dilemmas and step into your core beauty and power.
Develop your Skills: After you know how to journey it is good to get some solid experiential training in Shamanic Animal Communication and Healing. Explore: In my exploratory workshops I share the deepest teachings that my Spirit Teachers have shown me. I am in LOVE with the Spirit Spiral, and have developed a whole series of workshops as well as ceremonies to bring this powerful healing work through to our communities. Masterclasses give us a chance to learn new skills and explore new territories with the spirits. I share techniques that the spirits have given me for common animal issues, but are a little outside the core training scope.

Introduction to Shamanic Animal Communication
This workshop is designed for anyone who wishes to learn animal communication using the shamanic method. Attendees range from complete novices to experienced telepathic communicators, and everyone takes away magical information and spiritual gift.

Shamanic Healing Techniques for Animals
In this workshop you go beyond what you learned in the introductory workshop, with an emphasis on shamanic healing techniques. We will work with diagnosing the spiritual causes of illness, performing illness extraction and retrieving healing power immensely important techniques in shamanic work. The sessions are heavily experiential with lots of time spent practicing and sharing what we have learned from the animals and spirit helpers.Your spirit allies will guide you on your journey.
